Miesha Tate has a huge opportunity on her hands. She’s currently finishing up filming the next season of The Ultimate Fighter with rival Ronda Rousey and she will be part of the year end UFC event in the main event. You can say things are looking up for Tate even though she’s currently lost her last bout to Cat Zingano.
When it comes to competing with Rousey once again. She’s making quite a declaration that is not the wisest thing to say. She’s confident that she won’t be armbarred by Rousey, so confident that she’s willing to put her life on the line.
She discussed her declaration with MMA Fight Corner:
“It’s never too early to train and practice that gameplan over and over and over, I’m going to beat it into my skull if I have to. Swear to God, she’s not going to armbar me if it’s the last thing I do. I will seriously shoot myself in the face before I leave that cage if she armbars me again. It can’t happen … That’s what I’m going to do from now until December 28, it’s going to be an anti-judo camp.”
She’s going to have to pull all of the stops to make this dream a reality. Rousey has defeated all of her opponents by armbar and she does it with relative ease. UFC 168 will be a great event for fight fans and the power of women’s mixed martial arts will be in full form come new years.
