Frankie Edgar Wants Title Shot After Oliveira

Frankie Edgar is looking to earn more title shot in the UFC. It all starts next weekend at UFC 162. He competes against Charles Oliveira in the co-main event of the evening. He believes a statement defining victory will earn him another title shot.

He recently discussed his aspirations with a chat on UFC.com

“I think he’s a dangerous fighter, long and rangy with slick submissions. I guess his slick submission game might be the biggest threat.”

When it comes to having an advantageous come fight night. He believes his speed will play a huge factor in the outcome.

“I don’t know if I have an advantage, they’re all lighter fighters, but I don’t think I’m outclassed in speed by anyone though,

When it comes to having some nervous jitters before walking out to the octagon. Frankie believes everyone should be nervous.

“I’m nervous for everybody. Everybody possesses something to be weary of,” said the former champion.

Frankie has a huge opportunity in front of him come UFC 162. Will he be able to work his back up the featherweight ladder or will his title aspirations hard to come by if he loses to Oliveira next weekend.

This card is stacked and has a big fight feel to it. Before Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman lock horns, it will be this bout that carries a lot of significance towards their respective division.
