Mark Hunt Skin Graph Failed, More Surgery Needed

Mark Hunt has had a string of extremely bad luck as of late. He competed against Junior dos Santos in the co-main event of UFC 160 and had his chances of competing for the heavyweight championship taken away from the time being with a well time spinning back kick. During the bout, he broke his big toe and had a gnarly staph infection. Looks like the skin graph surgery he had to clear up the staph infection didn’t go through and now he needs to get more surgery.

He posted on twitter what happened:

“Well troops jus wanted u guys to know the skin graph didnt survive, and i think i will be back in hospital next week, its a bummer really cause the hill song confrence is starting next tuesday i hope i dont have to go hospital, but we will see i see plastic surgeon tuesday.didnt realise how bad this is man.anyways troops will keep u guys informed roger roger over and out lol.”

Looks like Mark Hunt will be out of action for quite some time. When he comes back to the octagon, who do you want to see him fight against? Would a bout against Antonio Silva or a bout with Roy Nelson make sense for his career?

What do you guys think? Let’s hope we gets a clean bill of health soon enough so we can see him back in the UFC knocking contenders out.
