Two top ten light heavyweights are on a collision course and will be making way to Brazil for UFC on Fox sports 1 #3. Glover Teixeira and Ryan Bader were originally supposed to compete against each other at UFC 160 in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, Bader got injured and the bout was called off.
Glover ended up still competing on the card, only against James Te Huna instead. He made quick work of Te Huna, defeating him by guillotine choke in the first round. Glover wants to make his way up to Jon Jones and the light heavyweight championship, a bout with Bader is the next logical step towards that direction.
Ryan Bader was continued to be a main stay in the light heavyweight division. Moving ever so closely to a title shot, before losing and having to make his way back up the rankings. Bader’s last bout took place at UFC on Fox 6. Defeating Vladimir Matuyshenko and sending him out of the UFC.
Both fighters are looking to earn a contender’s bout if they are victorious in Brazil. Look for Teixeira to try and keep this on the feet while Bader tries with his collegiate wrestling to put Teixeira on his back.
There’s no confirmation as to whether this bout will be the main event or not. There’s no doubt that this bout will be on the main card.
Who do you think is going to win this bout? Who will continue to work their way up to title contention?
