Alexander Emelianenko and Mirko Cro Cop will lock horns in November. Both are well known for their time spent in Pride. Alexander’s career was not as high profile as his brother Fedor, but he still competed against some of the best heavyweights in the world.
This bout will be taking place with Legends Martial Arts and it will be in Emelianenko’s home country of Russia.
Both fighters are on the downhill of their careers. Mirko had a terrible stint in the UFC. Losing to Brendan Schaub, Gabriel, Gonzaga, and Roy Nelson. He may never be an UFC fighter again, but a win for him would continue to keep him relevant as a heavyweight.
Alexander recently defeated Bob Sapp at the last event. Sadly, Sapp has only been looking out for just the paycheck lately so he refuses to make any fights worth while. Luckily, this fight wont be happening that way.
Look for these two mixed martial arts veterans to bring it and to make it an exciting bout in Russia. Alexander might not be Fedor but he certainly tries to make any bout, an exciting one.
Will either one of these fighters make it to the UFC? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean that this fight doesn’t have any significance.
This rematch has been nine years in the making. Who do you think will win the rematch between these two heavyweight veterans?
