Big Nog and Stefan Struve are both coming off of injuries and are looking to get back on the winning track. A bout between those two makes perfect sense and it’s a bout that intrigues both opponents.
Big Nog just lost to Fabricio Werdum at UFC on Fuel TV 10 in Brazil and hasn’t won back to back bouts in years. He’s still considered to be a top ten heavyweight and looks to rebound from his last lost.
Stefan Struve was on the verge of competing against a top five opponent to earn himself a shot at the UFC heavyweight championship before getting his jaw broken by a right hook by Mark Hunt back at UFC on Fuel TV 8 in Japan.
Big Nog should be back to full health in December and would make for a great main card bout for the new years eve card. They both have amazing jiu jitsu and can bring it on the feet as well.
The winner of this bout would move into another position to work their way back up the UFC heavyweight ladder. The loser would have a long ways to go before being considered for a title shot.
Big Nog doesn’t have many bouts left in him. Do you think there should be another opponent for him or does the man known as the skyscraper make the most sense?
What do you guys think?
