Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks look to lock horns in November. Ariel Helwani tweeted that Dana White wants this fight to take place in November in Las Vegas. These two have been on a collision path for the past year and we finally get to find out who the best welterweight in the world is.

Johny Hendricks has been on a tear lately. He’s on a five-fight winning streak defeating former welterweight contenders Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck, and Carlos Condit. He feels that GSP has been ducking him for quite some time and he now gets his moment to prove that he can do what only one man has done. Take the welterweight title from GSP.

Georges St. Pierre recently defeated long time rival Nick Diaz at UFC 158 in Montreal, Canada. His last bout ended with some controversy. He weighed over 170 lbs for his bout with Diaz but the commission announced him as 170. He’s also lacked the ability to finish fighters lately. 7 of his past 8 fights have all ended by decision. His last decisive victory was against BJ Penn at UFC 94. Fans have been clamoring for the GSP of old and hopefully he brings the finish this time around.

If GSP is victorious, the clamoring for a super fight with Benson Henderson or Anderson Silva will continue to increase. Some people say that Johny Hendricks might be the perfect opponent to finally end GSP’s reign.

Who takes this bout? Is Johny Hendrick’s wrestling defense enough to stop the champ? Can GSP find a game plan to take Hendick’s out of his element? This bout has all the tools to be an exciting bout. Can’t wait to see who takes this one!
