Jon Fitch Reclaiming His Dominance

Jon Fitch competes for the first time since being released from his UFC contract back in February. He signed on with World Series of Fighting and he now has an opportunity to start fresh.

Fitch was known for years as the second greatest welterweight of his generation. Defeating numerous of top contenders but ultimately falling flat against the best welterweight of all time. Georges St. Pierre. Recently, he hasn’t looked like the same fighter that was able to defeat Thiago Alves, Diego Sanchez and Ben Saunders. He’s currently on a 1-2-1 skid, looking to regain the chokehold that he established on the welterweight division.

Fitch is still one of the best welterweights on the planet and here’s his chance to claim something that he never was able to during his run in the UFC. Win championship gold.

World Series of Fighting will do their best to continue to establish Jon Fitch as a top draw and a future money maker for their organization. The competition over at WSOF should be competitive but not as strong as the competition in the UFC. Look for Fitch to win the welterweight championship when they look to establish a champion and work his way back to being one of the greatest welterweights of all time.

I feel bad for Fitch, if you see the video of him getting his BJJ blackbelt he’s all emotional and that kind of made me realize he isn’t just some asshole looking to score UD wins, but his fights are boring, plain and simple, GSP is doing the same thing, hasn’t finished a fight since 2009 against BJ Penn and that was a corner stoppage! Before that it was 2008 against Serra!
