B.J. Penn is a fighter who shocked the MMA world with an upset of Matt Hughes to win the UFC Welterweight title.
But that’s not all that B.J.Penn is known for, his record is 11-8-2, he’s the champ for Rumble in the Rock Lightweight Championship, UFC Welterweight Championship and UFC Lightweight Championship.
After Penn’s victory against Hughes and gaining the Welterweight title he was unable to defend it due to a contract dispute. He spent a few years outside the UFC. On his return he went to lightweight and really made his mark.
Penn won the lightweight championship and defended it 3 times before losing against Frankie Edgar in a controversial decision. Penn went back to welterweight and took out Hughes again. This was his last victory of his career.
He will go down as one of the best two-division fighters in history.
