Looks like Alexander Gustafsson is next in line for the title shot against Jon Jones.
The top contender told the MMA world via twitter at 2:50 in the morning that he “can’t wait to get in that cage” with Jones.
Both fighters are in Moscow, Russia right now handling some media for an upcoming UFC card. This could potentially lead to a Jones vs. “The Mauler” in Moscow.
Jones has been tearing through every opponent looking unbeatable in his career in the light heavyweight division. But, will Alexander Gustafsson finally be the ultimate challenge for Jones? Jones is currently looking for someone to beat to take him out of the tied record with Tito Ortiz for most title defenses, and into his own individual record for longest running light heavyweight champ.
Gustafsson could be the fighter to put Jones to the test. Just like Jones, he holds just one loss and both have taken out former champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Needless to say, Gustafsson is going to be a tough adversary for Jones.
