MMA Fighter Shot And Killed During Boston Marathon Bombing Questioning

Professional MMA fighter Ibragim Todashev was shot and killed by a FBI agent in Orlando on Wednesday.

The MMA fighter was being questioned about being linked to the Boston Marathon bombing incident. Todashev, 27, was allegedly an acquaintance of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the brothers responsible for the Boston marathon bombing.

“They met a few times because Todashev was an MMA fighter and Tsarnaev was a boxer,” Taramov told WKMG-TV. “They just knew each other. That’s it.”

NBC says that Todashev wasn’t a suspect who played a role in the bombing, but was  still going to sign a “playing a role” confession to an unsolved triple murder case when the confrontation went down and he lunged towards the federal agent with a knife.

Todashev had a professional record of 1-0, winning in the first round of his fight on July 27, 2012 in the Florida based Real Fighting Championship promotion. It looks like his record isn’t going to change, leaving him undefeated in his short time as a professional mixed martial artist.
