Roy Nelson Vs Daniel Cormier? Management Says No!

During the UFC 159 press conference, Dana White stated that next for “Big Country” would be either Mark Hunt or Daniel Cormier. Both would be steps in the right direction towards his path to the UFC heavyweight title. Roy Nelson’s manager Mike Kogan is against those opponents and has some ideas of his own.

Kogan wants Roy to fight either the loser of the UFC 160 main event between Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Big Foot” Silva. The winner or loser of Junior Dos Santos and Mark Hunt is an option as well. Why leave Daniel Cormier out of the equation?

Big Country recently went to Twitter stating that he wants the bout with Daniel Cormier. If Roy Nelson wants to make his way into a UFC title fight, a fight against the number 2 heavyweight in the world makes the most sense. Looks like the UFC, Daniel Cormier, and Roy Nelson want this fight to take place so why is Mike Kogan against it?

You may be wondering what happens now, and so are we. Does Nelson listen to his manager or decides to make his own decision? Roy Nelson has always been a man on his own mission. Whatever he decides,  this next fight should be another defining moment for his career.
