A fight between two of the best welterweights in the UFC has just been announced. Jake Ellenberger will be facing off against Rory MacDonald in Seattle. This fight has the potential to be fight of the night and help establish one of these fighters as a contender in the Welterweight division.

Jake Ellenberger just recently defeated former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nate Marquardt at UFC 158. He was able to defeat him via TKO at 3:00 into Round 1. He is currently on a two fight winning streak.

Rory MacDonald has been known as the future of the Welterweight division for some time as he recently defeated former UFC Lightweight and Welterweight Champion BJ Penn at UFC on Fox 5. He currently has a four fight winning streak and was schedule to fight Carlos Condit at UFC 158 before pulling out due to an injury.

    Glad to see the UFC is going through with this fight, if Ellenberger wins I see a title shot in his future but MacDonald has said he won’t fight GSP, time for him to move up to middleweight
