Hector Lombard will be requesting the assistance of Nutritionist Guru Mike Dolce to help prepare him for making the cut from middleweight to welterweight. Hector Lombard has had limited success since making the move to the UFC after a successful stint in Bellator. He is currently 1-2 in the UFC defeating Rousimar Palhares and losing to Tim Boetsch and Yushin Okami.
The UFC is investing a lot of money in the hopes they can create a superstar out of Lombard. Hector will be an interesting addition to the already stacked welterweight division. Lombard is a stocky/small middleweight and dropping weight might be the only option if he ever wants to compete for UFC gold.
Lombard has name value, so it shouldn’t take too long for him to make his way to a title shot. Potential fights with Martin Kampmann, Carlos Condit, and Robbie Lawler have the opportunity to be exciting bouts.
With Mike Dolce by his side, the weight cut should be much more manageable. Lombard has the skill set to compete against the best in the world and welterweight could be the division that can help him become a star in the UFC.
