Braga Neto Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Joins The UFC


Braga Neto is making his way onto the largest MMA organization, the UFC!

This Jiu-Jitsu world champ has signed onto for 4 fights. Neto is a two-time black belt world champion in 2008 and 2011.

Neto will be making his debut into the Octagon on June 8th in the middleweight division. His first bout is rumored to be with an American fighter, the name is yet to be disclosed. Neto is now waiting on the official announcement.


Neto tried to get a spot in the “TUF Brazil” event last year but alas he was not chosen, this time, however, he was and goes into the event with 6 submission wins.

Neto also wants to fight in the WPJJC in Abu Dhabi on April 13th and 14th. Neto says,

“It was my Jiu-Jitsu that led me to the UFC, the guys there liked my fights. That’s why I still want to fight in Abu Dhabi. Ben Henderson was allowed without any problems, one month from the fight. I’ve got the ticket to the Emirates”

Neto is now the 15th Jiu-Jitsu black belt world champion to enter into the UFC with others like B.J. Penn and Fabio Bitetti. Also training under Roberto Gordo, he joins gold medalists like Roger Gracie and Fabricio Werdum among others.
